Vistara Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Mumbai After Bomb Threat
A Vistara flight from Frankfurt to Mumbai, carrying 147 people, made an emergency landing at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport on Thursday following a bomb threat, according to sources. The Boeing 787, with 134 passengers and 13 crew members, landed safely at 7:45 am.
Upon landing, the aircraft was directed to an isolation bay where thorough security checks were conducted.
Vistara confirmed the incident, stating that Flight UK 028, which departed Frankfurt at 8:20 pm on Tuesday (local time), received a security alert on social media. The airline assured that all passengers disembarked safely and added that they are cooperating with security authorities to ensure all procedures are followed.
